3 Tips on How to Start and Keep 2021 Strong

Can you believe that we are already 17 days into the new year? Year 2021 will be full of possibilities, options, failures, successes, daily ups and downs and many beautiful moments, like any other year.


Many of us have already created a list of goals that they like to achieve and started stepping on the path to access them, a big congratulations for that. It is also a case for me this year although to be honest, it took me a bit more time to do it. Last year was an exceptional one in many ways and I needed more time to evaluate it and prepare for the next year.

Here are 3 tips that can help you to start and keep 2021 strong.


  1. Create a list of goals


Having a clear sense where you are heading every day will help you navigate through life and face effectively distractions that life brings. If you like it or not, priorities are the key otherwise your life will feel shallow and empty. This year I have added to my list also “emotional goals”, how I would like to feel every month and every day in addition to focusing on areas like finances, relationships, health, purpose/work and self-worth.


  1. Do one action that makes you happy, every day.


From the smallest one like making yourself a cup of tea or coffee (my favourite one has been recently a black coffee with a spoon of vanilla ice cream), to talking to someone you love or any other activity that is “your thing” which makes you happy. Every day you can do something different to keep it fresh and not to fall into routine but the key is to do this action every day because this is one of the best ways to keep your happiness level high in the long term.


  1. Subscribe to something that you like.


You may think that this is something not important but the truth is, why would you not like to ask someone else to inspire you to do things that you like? For example, I have several magazine subscriptions, paper and electronic versions but you can do it with food, cosmetics, audiobooks and these are only a few. I believe that we sometimes undervalue the fact how much joy we get from a new delivery, a new email, an invitation to an event etc.


If we want to have more happiness in life we need to do more fulfilling things, surround ourselves with people that are happy or arrange life in the way that feels that we live. And if you are not exactly feeling like this right now, I am sure that by using these tips you will be closer to feeling it. Like in the dance, step by step.
